Tragedy near the coast of Hentavia: a tourist died and another disappeared during a tourist boat trip

A group of tourists had come to Hentavia with the intention of getting to know the country and the day-to-day life of its citizens.

Día nublado

A tourist died this Wednesday, October 26, and another is missing since then due to the strong waves near the coast of Hentavia. They were part of a group of 25 people who had come to enjoy a few days in our country and learn more about its culture. According to a police statement, three of them decided to go swimming during one of the stops made by the boat near one of the islands, but the voracity of the waves dragged them against the rocks. One of them was rescued, another one was found dead and the third has not yet been located. Authorities reported that he died instantly due to the strong impact that caused a stroke. As regards the missing person, The Secretary of the Navy continues its search.

The coast of Hentavia is considered one of the most dangerous for bathers. Its strong waves have made it an important attraction for tourists from other countries. In August of this year, three tourists drowned near the islands and last year, the authorities counted up to 13 people who died in the proximity of their beaches. The coast often suffers from phenomena such as the swell with drag currents, several meters high waves and tidal waves.

The Duke sent a statement on Thursday night lamenting the tragedy and expressing his condolences to the family of the deceased, who was 46 years old. About the missing person, 47 years old, there are still no clues. According to the authorities, they located the deceased in a rocky area at dawn this Thursday. However, the Navy has continued with the search for the missing person ever since.
