The story of Grand Duchy Hentavia begins in 1836 when the Grand Duke Henry the first and his wife Octavia were happily married. They were so in love that they wanted to immortalize their love in the name of the Grand Duchy. That is why they called it Hentavia. A contraction of Henry and Octavia. Henry made up the name to show that he has the power and that he alone is in charge. Call it a dictatorship.  

 

There was no separation of legislative, executive and judicial powers. Legislative and executive powers were exercised by the Duke. Today, this is still the case. The Duke is assisted by a council of wise men who monitor compliance with the laws. The council of wise men is assisted by a police force that enforces strict regulation. Violation of the rules will be punished without any trial. Example punishment: mutilation. At that moment nobody was safe in the country. There were a lot of enslaved women but also a large part of enslaved men.  

 

155 years later, the great-grandson of Henry I was in power. His name was Jack I. Jack had a lot of children, four boys and one girl, all from different women. The eldest son, Archie II, would be the successor. Archie has three younger brothers: Henry, Lucas and Henk. He also had an older sister Beatrix. She was the rebel of the family. She was disobedient and she didn’t listen to her parents. Beatrix was a girl who stood for justice and that’s why she liked the people who disagreed with her father's form of government because she used to do so as well. The relationship between Archie and Beatrix wasn’t ideal, because Archie believed in a dictatorship and Beatrix was against it.  

 

The way that Jack led the grand duchy was not appreciated by his citizens. A large part of the population, mostly the enslaved men, decided to fly over the mountains to GoMo, a country where everybody is treated the same. Beatrix, the Duke’s daughter, was against the dictatorship so she also fled to GoMo to have a better life as a woman. Most women were left behind in the country. That was such a big shock to Jack that he went into a panic attack and died. It was then when Archie took over the Grand Duchy and he became the Duke of Hentavia. So Archie is until today Duke Archie II of Hentavia. Archie was so angry that he not only vowed revenge against Beatrix but also against GoMo. A war started.  

 

At that moment Archie was looking for a scapegoat: women in Hentavia who were left behind. Since then, the population was divided into three social classes. On the one hand, the upper class existing of the remaining men. On the other hand, the enslaved women. The men are trained as police officers or are part of the council of wise men or ministries. Finally, you also have the slave hunters. They must obey every command of the Duke or they will also be severely punished. Hentavia became a Grand Duchy with wealthy men, slave hunters and enslaved women. That’s also why the Grand Duchy has such a big slave trade.  

 

Archie treated women very badly. You can say he was very misogynistic. Today, this is still the case in Hentavia. The role of women is substandard. Women have no access to education and from birth they are a slave. The men in Hentavia are no longer slaves and imitate Archie. Polygamy is the rule, so all men have different female slaves. They are used to serve them, have sex with them and bear children with them. The enslaved women only have a subservient role focused on procreation.  

 

The Duke decided to cooperate with Mageía, where female virgins are still being offered to God. He started doing a lot of slave traffic with them. To that purpose, his slave hunters started capturing girls and women from Noma. When the women are captured, they ship them to their island near the coast of Mageía where they are sold on one of the numerous slave markets.  That’s why Hentavia has such a large slave trade. Most of the income is generated by selling female virgins and slaves.  

 

Nowadays, Hentavia is still a woman-unfriendly country with rich cruel men. The slave trade also continues to grow. As long as Archie remains in power, nothing will change. The tensions between GoMo and Hentavia are very high to this day.
